starting to learn WordPress with describing my move to China was the motivation for what you are reading now… I hope it will only get better every day as the time in my quarantine here in Shanghai passes 🙂
Time to go East
No. There was no plan to do it again. Not after only 3 years being back in Stuttgart.
At least not on my list.
End of Quarantine!
I am just receiving last “release” paperwork I need as I write this!!! (there I can understand only my name and numbers…. for the rest, some mandarin lessons will be required!) Today is the 14th day since I arrived to Shanghai. So any time after 14:40 I will be asked to leave the room. The …

Quarantine-while (Shanghai) creations
Watercolour was my choice to bring with me to China. Oil and canvas is not so travel-friendly for many reasons, as the paint stays wet for long and canvases are taking too much space to name only the most obvious ones.
As my last watercolour paintings were done long ago, I need to get a grasp of it again and the technique is completely opposite to oil, where you typically put the lightest colour as last on your canvas. With watercolours, well the best thing to do is to leave that spot of the paper not touched (= the purest white you can get!). I do have problems doing just that, as I learned to get away from the whiteness of the canvas in the very first step starting a ne (oil) painting. But I will try my best :).
